THERE was no lack of goals in last weekend's women's football programme, with Lois Cooper firing home a first half hat-trick for Thackley.

They were able to name a full squad for their West Riding League Cup Qualifying tie at Ossett United Reserves.

In a highly competitive game, Cooper's hat-trick put them in the driving seat, before substitute Megan Medley completed a 4-0 victory.

Silsden's League Cup tie was all-square at the break, but Second Division Garforth Rangers put in a good second half performance to win 4-2.

Silsden's scorers were Alice McNee and Megan Robson-Owens.

Jamie Lukacs' brace saw Tyersal through 2-1 at Dewsbury, with Skipton Town also winning 2-1 against Republica Internationale thanks to Jess Ogden and Corina Riley.

In the West Riding County Women's Football League First Division, Phoenix were 2-0 behind to Huddersfield Amateur, before goals from Ikra Ali and Henna Shaheen brought them level.

Unfortunately a late header saw Huddersfield take home the points.

Farsley Celtic lost their FA Cup game 4-1 to Liverpool Feds, but Brighouse Town won 5-1 at FC United, thanks to a pair of braces from Charlotte Proud and new signing Arianne Parnham.

Next weekend, Bradford (Park Avenue) return to action as they host Wakefield Trinity at Hollingwood Lane, while Bradford City play their delayed National League Plate tie with Leeds United at Kingsway on Sunday.

In the West Riding League, Tyersal host Ilkley Town at Arkwright Street, Skipton take on Dewsbury and Thackley Reserves play West End Terriers at Apperley Lane.

Finally, Silsden entertain current Premier Division leaders Yorkshire Amateur at Keighley Road.
