FORMER Bantams loanee David Ball has been released by Rotherham United following the end of his contract.

The attacker spent most of the season just ended on loan with City, making 37 starts and scoring seven goals.

The Bantams had expressed a desire to make his stay a permanent one at Valley Parade before relegation to League Two.

But the 29-year-old will be a probable target for teams in the third tier, making a return to City unlikely.

Dominic Ball, Darren Potter, Alex Bray and Emmanuel Onariase are the other players to leave the Millers, who were relegated from the Championship.
