Beverley 27, Bradford & Bingley 20
A disappointing second-half performance from the Bees - when the home side drove over from close range three times - saw them slip into mid-table.
On balance, the better side won on the day and Beverley emerged victorious because they had a simple vision of how they were going to play the game and stuck to the plan.
Bees coach Carlos Hassan was not pleased and said: "Their left winger looked flaky under the high ball and we decided at the break that's where we're going to put the ball, deep up the right-hand touchline. But what happened when we get out on the field? What happened to the plan?"
The Bees looked the better side for much of the first half despite losing Neil Spence to a dead leg. Benny Greaves crossed for the Bees' first try after scrum half Ben Jackson had made the initial break.
With their first consolidated period in the Bees' 22, Beverley brought the scores level with a pushover try. Bees took the lead again when Jackson spotted a gap in the defence and Tom Rhodes improved the score to put them 17-10 up at the break.
But as the pace of the game flagged in the second half, the Bees' error count grew.
Beverley got on top and the first of their scores came around the hour-mark as Craig Hancock ploughed over from a line-out.
Five minutes later, lively open-side Worrall was on the score sheet as he drove over from a tapped penalty.
A Rhodes penalty with ten minutes to go brought the scores to 20-22 but the Bees never really managed to break out of their own half in the final few minutes and Beverley deservedly wrapped up the victory with another short-range effort.
