THERE is a lot of conjecture about changes to the structure of the leagues for next season but should the balls fall our way, and we get up automatically, either by finishing top or because of changes in the structure, then that will be all well and good.

This club had to deal with a lot of adversity, with the points deduction, the fine and reduction of money. So, it was a false way to be relegated and if it’s a false way to be promoted then I wouldn’t bat an eyelid.

We would obviously like to be promoted as top of the table and champions and that is what we will be trying to do.

All that is for the administrators to sort out and we will just deal with what we have got and that is Keighley, West Wales, Oldham and Hemel. We will deal with that as a four-game sequence and we will see where we are at the end of it.

It's a very important game for us this week as we were very disappointed with both our performance and the result against Workington.

We have Keighley on Sunday and they showed against Newcastle, in their recent victory, that despite the adversity the club is facing at the moment, with their financial problems, there is still a great spirit within the team.

The players had a tough week following the Workington game and then had a four-day break over the Challenge Cup weekend.

They had time to get away for a few days, whether it be to go to Wembley or the seaside, and they are back in for a normal prep week now.

So hopefully they will be recharged and energised and ready to play against Keighley in a positive and efficient manner.

We will be up against someone I know really well in Craig Lingard. He’s someone I have worked with over a number of years and he’s a very good coach who has had a very difficult year.

As I said earlier they have had a tough year financially, but now they have brought in Steve Gill from Castleford, things will improve in that area because Steve is a very shrewd administrator.

So with that going on in the background and Craig leading them on the field, I think things will start looking good for Keighley, but hopefully not on Sunday afternoon.

I went to Wembley last week as a neutral and I thought the occasion was great. I love to witness historic occasions and that was one as it’s the first time the Challenge Cup has been won from a club outside of this country.

I thought Catalans were outstanding and showed everyone how to play knockout rugby. It could be a lesson we might have to take on board.
