Bradford City have completed the signing of rising star Lewis O’Brien.

The midfieldman has agreed a season-long loan deal with the Bantams, arriving from Premier League Huddersfield Town.

The 19-year-old agreed a new three-year deal with Terriers in May, after being crowned Academy Player of the Year at the John Smith’s Stadium.

City head coach Michael Collins said: “We have been monitoring Lewis for some time and have liked what we have seen.

“He is young and very hungry to succeed. He will bring a great deal of energy and has a desire to achieve at first-team level.”
