MICHAEL Collins insists his faith in City has not been rocked by a bad week.

The Bantams aim to check a three-game losing streak when they host Burton tonight.

Having blasted the performance at Southend on Saturday, Collins is confident of getting back on track straight away.

He said: “We’ve got this opportunity in front of our home fans to show exactly how much it means for us to be part of this football club.

“We know how important this game is. We’re determined to go and get a win and there will be 100 per cent commitment.

“We’ve got an opportunity to turn it round and if we get a win on the board, everything is a lot brighter going into the weekend fixture.

“In the space of two or three days you can be on an up. We’re ready for that.

“We’re disappointed from the weekend but we’re raring to go.”

Burton claimed their first league win since relegation when they edged Doncaster 1-0. They also got through the League Cup first round for the seventh straight season.

“It’s been difficult for them coming down from the Championship and losing some good players,” added Collins, who should have Sherwin Seedorf back after missing the weekend loss with a foot injury.

“But Burton are also a team who have still got quality there. I know a few personally like Lucas Akins, who is a big player for them.

“Any game in this division is a test. If you turn up and you’re five per cent short, regardless of the calibre of your own squad, you will struggle.

“The difference in this division can be made up by heart, resolve and fight and Southend had a little bit more of that than us on Saturday.

“But my belief in myself and these players will never waiver.

“We’ve had a difficult week but now we’ve got an opportunity to put three points on the board. I’m hungry to get the result.

“There’s still that resilience and togetherness and if we’re at our best, we will win the match.”
