BRADLEY could not hold up title-chasing Riddlesden in Division Three of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.

The Matthew Lane side were dismissed for 122, with David Hunt (36) top-scoring as Mohammed Qadeer took 4-51. Akeel Rashid (43) then led the way for the home side, who won by seven wickets.

Daniel Ibbotson (100no) and Kevin Pollard (75) set up Thornton-in-Craven’s 285-2 declared in 40 overs.

Cellar-dwelling visitors Sutton II were then shot out for 68, with Dan Oldfield (5-26) and Mark Laycock (3-16) doing most of the damage.

Embsay II completed the double over Skipton CI at Shires Lane.

Division Four front-runners Chatburn II were in an uncharitable mood as they saw off Skipton CI II at Sandylands. The hosts were dismissed for 88, with Lowie Simms (3-8) the best bowler.

The Ribble Valley side then strode home by six wickets, led by Steve Tandy (33no).

Two points behind are Silsden, whose game with Airedale II was called off when the Keighley side conceded.

Long Lee II were dismissed for 84 at The Coliseum, and Cowling sauntered to an eight-wicket win, with Steve Dalby top-scoring with 38 not out.

Mark Paynter, with a stunning 134 not out, and Dale Mason (65) set Cononley II on their way to 252-2 in their derby with visitors Glusburn II.

The Park Field side replied with 112 as Noman Hassan (42) top scored and Matthew Hogg (3-23) and Paul Hogg (3-39) did the damage with the ball.
