SUTTON were on the wrong end of a Mewies Solicitors Craven League Division One pasting against Haworth Road Meths at Baildon Bottom.

Deepal Dissanayake made a splendid 101 to help Meths to 275-5, and the Royd Hill side closed on 155, with Sam Solley (45) and Rob Wilkinson (44) leading the way as three bowlers claimed three wickets apiece.

Embsay's Wynn Cup euphoria came down with a bump as they lost by 31 runs at Ingrow.

The Hainworth side hit 206-9, with openers Jake Hoyle (62) and Mark Price (56) giving them a solid base to build on as Elliot Stockton claimed 5-49.

Then Mohsin Saghir made 69 and Phil Binner 47 as the Shires Laners replied with 175 as Hoyle took 4-51.

In Division Two, Cowling closed to one point of the top after beating Gargrave by six wickets at Skipton Road.

Josh Gill (3-13) and Shahid Hassan (3-20) helped the hosts back to the pavilion for 112, and Martyn Dalby (56) went a long way towards giving his side the spoils.

Cononley's Charles Calvert hit a superb 142 not out in their 208-6 at Chatburn.

The Ribble Valley side replied with 182, with Mark Nerenberg (68) and No 11 Andy Booth (34no) in the runs as Cameron Knowles (5-29) and Tom Feather (4-45) shared the wickets.

Glusburn ran into Bradford & Bingley III's Farhan Khalid, who took 7-25 as they were dismissed for 68, with the visitors sauntering home by seven wickets.
