OTLEY lifted the Waddilove Cup for a record 14th time and the third time in the last five years with a comprehensive victory over Guiseley.

The match followed a path that might have been expected with top of the league taking on the bottom club and Guiseley never really threatened to upset the odds.

Only Jonny Baines (27), Damon Reeve, run out for 28, Jack Kelly (16no) and No11 Javed Slater (11) made double figures as Otley steadily picked up wickets, Nathan Goldthorp leading the way with 4-23.

With a target of only 122, Jamie Pickering (59no) and skipper Ben Morley (54) quickly blasted their way to 114 before being parted, between them hitting 17 fours and four sixes.

Otley wrapped things up after only ten overs and must now be hot favourites to go on and complete the cup and league double.
