Semi Tadulala is expected to be unveiled as a Bulls player after Wakefield confirmed he won't be with them next year.

The Fijian flier - out of contract at the end of the season - turned down Wildcats' offer of a new deal, paving the way for his switch to Grattan Stadium.

Electric winger Tadulala was lined up to join the Bulls last year if Wakefield suffered relegation but they produced their rem-arkable final day Houdini act, scuppering any chance of a move.

He was allowed to join Gloucester on loan but work permit problems ruined his dreams of making it big in union where he had hoped to star for Fiji in the Rugby World Cup.

Australian-born Tadulala returned to Wakefield only to break his arm in Round Six of Super League XII.

He was expected to return to action in June but the fracture didn't heal properly and required further surgery, which ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.

The Bulls are confident the powerful player, 29, will be fit for the start of next season though.

Odsal chief Steve McNa-mara sees him as the ideal man to take the right wing berth never properly filled since Marcus Bai's surprise retirement last year.

Wildcats chief executive Steve Ferres said: "Semi has advised the club he won't be re-signing.

"I respect his decision - he's been with the club many years and we understand he wants a change in direction. He's a genuinely nice fellow and a good rugby league player."

Pacy Tadulala scored 39 tries in 83 games for Wakefield, including 17 last year, since joining from Melbourne Storm in 2004.
