BRADFORD Bulls have strengthened their backs by signing two players on loan until the end of the season.

They are the versatile Tuoyo Egodo and, as reported today in the T&A, Jy Hitchcox.

Castleford Tigers winger/centre Egodo, 21, was on loan with Oldham in the Championship last season, where he helped them to a dramatic last-minute win over the Bulls, and impressed against them this season on loan for Newcastle Thunder.

Egodo, who used to work in a bank in London, came through the London Broncos' Academy before being signed on a two-year deal by Tigers after impressing while on loan with Hemel Stags.

Of Nigerian descent, Egodo has also had a loan spell at York City Knights.

Hitchcox, a 28-year-old Australian, has already played for the Bulls on loan earlier this season, having cut his teeth Down Under for Gold Coast Titans, Melbourne Storm and Wests Tigers.

He was then signed by Featherstone Rovers before joining Castleford, with the full back, winger or centre then being loaned to Batley Bulldogs, Halifax and Bradford.

Tuoyo is set to go straight into the squad to face London Skolars where he is set to make his debut on Saturday, but Hitchcox is recovering from a back injury and is targeting the Keighley Cougars match at Odsal on Sunday, September 2 for his comeback.

Bulls coach John Kear said: "Anyone who looks at our squad can see that Ashley Gibson and Lee Smith are both injured so we have been very light in the three-quarters.

"We felt that we could improve our squad by bringing in the two players.

"Egodo has played against us for Newcastle and he really made an impression on me – so we have him until the end of the season.

"Jy Hitchcox is a man that has been here before and we know that he is currently injured, but we have to register these players before the deadline tomorrow in order to for him to qualify for the rest of the season.

"So we have two new three-quarters that will strengthen the squad, and we are delighted to have them on board."
