Former Bantams keeper Colin Doyle has signed for Hearts on a two-year deal at Tynecastle.
The 33-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins the Scottish Premiership club after leaving City following two seasons at Valley Parade.
The big goalkeeper revealed he sought the advice of City goalkeeping coach Steve Banks and former assistant coach Kenny Black - who both have Hearts connections - on making the move north.
Speaking to HeartsTV, Doyle said: “I spoke to Banksy – Steve Banks - the goalkeeping coach.
“He’s been here as well, and I spoke to Kenny Black, who was assistant to Stuart McCall when he was down at Bradford.
“They had only good things to say about here and how I’d really enjoy it up here.
“Once I came up it was an easy decision. I’m looking forward to it.”
Ironically, Doyle replaces another ex-City keeper in John McLaughlin, who left Hearts at the end of last season and joined Sunderland last month.
McLaughlin penned a two-year deal to link up with the League One club's new boss Jack Ross.
