COLIN Doyle is training with Portsmouth.

The former City keeper is on the look-out for a new club after failing to agree a new contract at Valley Parade. He will train with Kenny Jackett’s side for the next week.

The Republic of Ireland international, who played against World Cup finalists France in Paris in May, made 88 appearances in two seasons with City.

Jackett insists Doyle has teamed up with the south coast club as a "favour".

The Portsmouth boss said: "I know his agent very well and he's currently without a club.

"We're just starting off with him this week and it's handy having a spare keeper around.

"He's experienced, though, a good guy, fitting in very well in terms of the week's training."
