AMJID KHAN produced a fine all-round performance as leaders Jer Lane continued their winning run by beating Rodley by 79 runs in The All-Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Conference.

Khan made 59 not out and followed up with 6-59 as the league new boys made it seven victories from eight games.

Tom Watson (75no) and Chris Ramsden (51) joined Khan in making half-centuries in a Jer Lane score of 256-5.

Rob Young (3-40) was the best of the Rodley bowlers while Ryan Callis (58) top scored in their 177 all out.

Oulton lost their grip on second place when they went down to a dramatic one-wicket defeat against East Leeds.

Jonathan Henshaw made 79 to help them to 219 when they batted first. Apart from Henshaw, Oulton did not find their normal fluency as James Watling picked up 4-36.

Opener Dean Atkinson got East Leeds off to a good start with 60 and, despite the efforts of Jonathan Anson (5-46), Allan Olbison (20no) got his side over the line.

Adwalton capitalised on Oulton’s slip-up to go second. Gareth Lee impressed as they breezed to a seven-wicket win over Windhill & Daisy Hill.

Lee took 7-39 with his off spin as Windhill & Daisy Hill were dismissed for 172, with Hasan Malik making 64. Lee followed up by scoring an unbeaten 83 to speed Adwalton to their target.

Another all-rounder in form was Great Preston’s Jack Morrison. He took 6-30 as his side bowled out Heckmondwike & Carlinghow for 137 before making 40 in the successful run chase. Javed Iqbal took 3-31 for Heckmondwike & Carlinghow.

Ben Van den Nieuwenhof (6-16) and Lee Geldard (4-16) bowled out Gildersome & Farnley Hill for 45 to set up a five-wicket win for Sandal.

Imran Mahboob (5-32) and Syed Shah Bukhari (4-11) bowled out Crossbank Methodists for 66 to seal a 114-run win for Azaad. Paul Sauer (34) scored more than half his side’s runs after taking 5-43 in Azaad’s 180. James Abbott (3-41) backed him up while Umar Mirza (41) was the chief contributor for Azaad.
