AKEEL Rashid hit a splendid 131 not out to help Mewies Craven Cricket League Division Three leaders Riddlesden to 217-6 declared, before they dismissed opponents Thornton for 85.

They moved joint-top with Skipton CI and Bingley Congs II, who locked horns and settled for a point apiece, thanks to the weather. Hosts Skipton made 152-9 and the away side had reached 34-3 when time was called.

Bradley lost by two wickets against Haworth II. They posted 158-8 but their opponents scrambled home through Anthony Haigh's 30no.

Sutton II made 121 at Oakworth II, with Danny Ridehalgh making 76no. The hosts made light of the small target, cruising to victory by eight wickets.

Embsay II reached 50-3 against Crossflatts II when a downpour left the square in a dangerous state.

Division Four leaders Silsden won by concession on Saturday when Cononley II were unable to raise a side.

Second-placed Chatburn II were in a run fest at Ingrow II. The home side rattled up 256-1 in their overs, with Dale Hoyle hitting a superb 144no. The high-flying hosts reached their target in the 40th over, for the loss of six wickets.

The match between Wilsden II and Cowling II was abandoned with the former on 85-5.

Glusburn scored 144-9 at Airedale II, but it proved not to be enough as the hosts romped home by nine wickets.

Bingley Congs III looked to be on their way to three points before play was abandoned at home to Oakworth III. The eight-man visitors were dismissed for 76 and Congs were 24-0 off three overs when play ceased.

Denholme II had progressed to 157-6 when time was called at home to Gargrave II and finally, Bradley II won easily at Long Lee.

They amassed 227-4, with Billy Winterburn smashing 11 sixes and 13 fours in a splendid knock of 133, and Long Lee II could only reply with 165, as Winterburn took 3-22.
