FORMER Bulls loanee Mikolaj Oledzki is on the mend after suffering a neck injury during the Rhinos' 25-18 loss to Huddersfield Giants at Emerald Headingley on Friday night.
The big prop suffered a clash of heads with skipper Stevie Ward in the first half of the game and play was stopped for a lengthy period before he was stretchered from the field and subsequently taken to hospital for further testing.
The Rhinos website reported yesterday that the injury was thankfully not too serious.
A statement read: "The early signs are that he has some muscle and tendon damage around his neck area but it is thought, as this stage, it is not serious or long term. He also sustained a heavy concussion."
Oledzki tweeted: "Thank you all so much for the nice messages, they’re all greatly appreciated! Slowly recovering now but can still hear the bells ringing...thanks @Ste_Ward."
