BRADFORD Park Avenue have appointed a full-time commercial manager, which is a consequence of the play-off semi-finalists' decision to go with the same budget as for the 2017-18 season.

Jamie Sinclair replaces Andrew Pinfield, who was helping the Vanarama National League North club out in a part-time capacity and will continue to help the Horsfall Stadium club when he can.

Having announced that Avenue's level of debt over the last two years is unsustainable and that they would have to reduce costs over the next few seasons, Avenue's chief executive officer Rob Stanley said: "While discussing the contract extensions of (management duo) Mark (Bower) and Danny (Boshell), it was agreed that we would maintain the same level of budget as last year.

"This obviously requires us to look at all other costs associated with running the club in an effort to reduce the deficit.

"However, it is important that we also look at increasing revenue streams.

"One area that the club has performed poorly in is our commercial presence within the city.

"Andrew Pinfield has helped the club out in the past on a part-time basis, and we hope he will continue to do so.

"However, we have decided that it is important that we have a full-time dedicated commercial manager.

"We are delighted to announce that we have secured the services of Jamie Sinclair to take this role.

"Jamie has extensive experience in this area and will officially start his role on June 1.

"He is currently working on a new commercial brochure and we are looking forward to hearing from any potential sponsors or investors."

Sinclair said: "My aim is to work with the management, staff and fans on building the ever-growing positive reputation of the club.

"I’m very proud to have the opportunity to contribute, having developed a dedicated programme towards building the commercial department for the club within the local business community and safeguarding its future for many more generations to come.”
