THORNBURY are top of Dales Council League Division A after bowling out Crompark for 121 and then replying with 122-6 thanks to 67 from skipper Kamran Ali at High Royds.

Halifax Direct and Leeds Sikh are two points behind with identical records, the latter winning a low scoring game by six wickets at Meanwood Road after bowling out Woodhouse for only 82.

Halifax made 169 at Karmand and then bowled out Drighlington for 151 despite 63 from Matty Waller.

Savile Stars dropped to fourth after being bowled out for 76 (Shoaib Rasool 5-22) in reply to New Wortley’s score of only 114 at the Roundhay Oval.

At Scott Hall Oval, bottom side Cookridge scored 158-7 (Jhangir Gulzar 51no) before Caribbean struggled against the bowling of Mark Wilson (7-31), scoring the winning runs with the last pair at the wicket.

Farsley won for the first time in Division A at Clariant when, after bowling out Bradford Moor for 134,

they eased home by eight wickets as Karl Morris made 67.

Adel are top of Division B by a point after defeating St Chads (146 all out) by six wickets thanks to 69 from the in-form Kanhu Charan Pattnayak at Church Lane.

St Lawrence are second and remain unbeaten after scoring 213 (Vinnie Schumacher 130, Jack Gaunt 53, Faisal Chaudry 7-42) before bowling out Halifax Direct B for 130 (Keith Marsden 5-49) at Fulneck.

At Gledhow runs were hard to come by, with Leeds Sikh B making only 82 but Karthaveeryarjun Vinjamoori (5-9) and Vishal Pandolia (5-28) skittled Muff Field for 47 to keep Sikh up with the leaders.

Ahtsham Ellahi (77) and Rameez Khan (52) helped Cookridge B to a total of 230-9 at Smithy Lane before bowling out Pudsey Congs for 163.

Mayfield lost their unbeaten tag at Daleside Road, being bowled out for 145 by Thornbury B who were also made to struggle in a two-wicket win by 5-37 from Amjad Khan.

Baildon continue their struggles, scoring only 120 against Drighlington B who replied with 124-7 in a low-scoring match for Station Road.

Highest score of the day came in Division C when One Stop made 350 (Raza Ali 89) at Sunnybank. Home side Muff Field B were then dismissed for only 125.

Leaders at the start of play Morley travelled to Low Springs where Tong Park Esholt made 241-9 (Jim Law 72) before bowling out Morley for 126 (Neil Smith 5-65).

At Sandal Caribbean B scored only 120 but then dismissed bottom side Baildon B for 111 to take over at the top.

Nine-man Cookridge C were skittled for 32 (Qasim Naqvi 5-18) at Salts Sports by Shipley Prov who won by nine wickets.
