SUTTON II were thrashed by 10 wickets at home to leaders Skipton CI in Division Three of the Craven and District League, collapsing after finding themselves in a strong position.

The hosts reached 94-4 thanks to the efforts of Jack Whitaker (25) and Alistair Wallace (22), but Darren Pighills took 5-8 to dismiss them for only 97.

Pighills' efforts were backed up by Ian Henderson (57 not out) and Steven Woods (34no), who saw the Sandylands side to the points.

Second-placed Bingley Congs II were also in good form at Wide Lane. Oakworth II went first and made 118 with Sam Waterhouse claiming 6-37. Charlie Raistrick made 61 and Jamie Teale 37no as the Beckfoot Lane side won by six wickets.

Hepworth & Idle II posted 220-7 over at Bradley, with Dave Goodaire (60) and Mark Davies (44) leading the way. Two of the home side’s juniors, Toby Meynell and Jack Andrews, took three wickets each.

Two more juniors, Edward Washington and George Bell, both made 42 as the Matthew Lane side closed on 155, with Michael Newell finishing with 5-26.

Crossflatts II were too strong for Riddlesden, winning by six wickets at Ryshworth Park. Wily spinner Mick Addy finished with 5-22 for the winners.

Haworth II conceded to Barrowford II.

Silsden got three points in Division Four when Chatburn II conceded and among the other concessions were: Cononley II to Cowling II; Glusburn II to Foulridge II; Oakworth III to Airedale II and Long Lee II to Skipton CI II.

Bingley Congs III entertained Bradley II at Sandy Lane and limited the visitors to 92-9 as Jordan Robinson took 4-18. The Beckfoot Lane side galloped home by seven wickets, with Simon Webster making 26no.

Ingrow struggled to 87 at Denholme II, for whom Ryan Clark took 4-12. Neil Spencer made 40no as the home side won by nine wickets.

Finally, Wilsden II made 140-6 on their travels to Gargrave II. Steve Wright made 74no as George Beckwith claimed 4-20. In the successful reply, Beckwith (57) and Chris Lambert (51no) put on 103 for the fourth wicket as Wright took 4-16.
