ELLIOT Minchella reckons the Bulls fans have a role to play in Sunday’s table-topping tussle at Doncaster.

The two sides are in a three-way tie with York on 10 points at the League One summit and it is shaping up to be a mouth-watering clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The Bulls can expect another mighty backing after the travelling support made up around half of the crowd at the Challenge Cup tie with Warrington.

And Minchella believes the volume from that army of fans will spur them on.

He said: “We know there will be another big following and I can’t stress how massive they are for us.

“You saw how unbelievable they were at Warrington. They didn’t stop singing all game.

“We came out to warm up and I was just blown away by the noise. The hair was standing up on the back of my neck.

“We’ve seen it all year whenever we’ve travelled away.

“We went to York and it was absolutely rocking. It was the same again at Keighley and I know it will be like that at Doncaster.

“I can’t stress enough how important they are and what a difference it makes. We are so thankful for their support.”

The Bulls were inspired to keep going in their 54-6 defeat against the in-form Wolves, with Joe Keyes scoring a consolation try late on to reward the fans.

“Keyesy played well all day and was our main half,” added Minchella, who partnered him in Dane Chisholm’s absence. “He took control as he has done all year.

“We didn’t throw the towel in for those fans because they backed us all game. We gave it everything we got.

“But our main aim this season is to get up and we’re going to do whatever it takes to achieve that. Then we’ll go from there.

“We’re not getting carried away. We’ve got to take one step at a time.

“We’ve got a big top-of-the-table clash coming up and we’ll be ready to attack Doncaster.”
