John Kear was full of praise for his Bulls side despite them suffering a Challenge Cup hammering at Warrington.

Josh Charnley ran in four tries and Bryson Goodwin scored a hat-trick as Wolves whipped Bradford 54-6.

But Kear was pleased at the way his team stuck at in searing temperatures against a Super League side at the top of their game.

He said: "I'm full of admiration for them. They never gave in and made Warrington work hard for their tries and by God there were some great tries."

Kear added: "The endeavour, the effort and the commitment was there for all to see, so I have come away, even though it sounds strange, very heartened by what I have seen."

Bulls fans came in their numbers and gave their side superb backing throughout on the terrace behind the sticks.

And Kear said: "It was packed with Bulls fans. I would hazard to say there were more Bulls fans there than has been for some Super League teams who have come here. To give the players the reception they did is heartwarming and makes you feel inspired."
