STEETON booked their spot in the semi-finals of the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup for the second successive season when they gained revenge on Littletown.

The Chevrons exited the competition at the last-four stage of last year’s competition at the hands of their Heckmondwike visitors.

But Roy Mason's side earned the spoils this time with a 3-2 success at Summerhill Lane.

After leading 3-0 with two goals from Ben Clarkson and one from Jonah Smith, Steeton were made to defend in depth after strikes from Joe Jagger and Matt Bugg put Littletown back into contention. The other quarter-final tie between Route One Rovers and DRAM Community was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Esholt.

Salts strengthened their hold on the Premier Division title with a 4-2 victory at strugglers Britannia Sports.

Harry Naylor (2), a Joe Pleasance penalty and a Jamie Birchall goal in the second half saw the Saltaire side triumph after Nicholas Kitson had scored twice for the Huddersfield side in the first half.

The win puts Salts ten points ahead of second-placed Route One Rovers.

The only other game to beat the weather in the Premier Division was between Wibsey and Lower Hopton.

With Wibsey’s ground at Bankfoot being unfit, the game was switched to their opponents' base.

And it did them no favours as the Mirfield side ran out comfortable 7-4 victors.

Lee Smith, with a brace, Daniel O’Donnell and Jonathon Burston hit the target for Wibsey, while two goals each from Nathan James, Alex Barnes and Adam Brown saw Lower Hopton triumph, with Liam Royal also on target for last season’s champions.

Ovenden West Riding need just one win from their final three games in Division One to secure the title when they beat Salts Reserves 5-3.

John Booth, with a treble, Glynne Beale and Graeme Sides netted for the Halifax side, with Andy Sadowskyj, Olly Hume and Nathan Hartley on target for Salts Reserves.
