REFEREES are being sought for the Valley Parade Memorial Tournament at Marley Stadium in Keighley over the Easter weekend.
Play starts at 9am each day (Saturday, March 31-Sunday, April 1), with age groups for the tournament being under-12s and under-14s. Matches will be played on both grass and 3G.
The officials will work in teams of three or four and will both referee and act as assistants in turn.
It is also hoped that some form of referee-wear will be provided by the Bradford Referees' Association.
Anyone interested – even a few hours will help – should contact secretary Chris Dempsey on 07786-247350 or cdempsey84@yahoo.com.
The tournament, which is in memory of the 56 fans who died in the Bradford City fire disaster, has been held annually since then.
It regularly attracts overseas teams and the motto is "friendship through football".
