SIMON Grayson has been named as the new City manager.

The former Leeds and Huddersfield boss succeeds Stuart McCall, who was dismissed after last weekend's defeat at Oldham.

Grayson has won promotion four times from the third tier and has been looking to get back into management after being sacked at Sunderland at the end of October.

The 48-year-old will be joined by Glynn Snodin as his assistant. The other current coaching staff are remaining at the club.

Grayson will meet the players for the first time tomorrow and take charge for Tuesday's trip to Charlton.
