BRIGHOUSE Town are looking to make it four cup upsets in a row as they visit FA Women's Super League One's Sunderland in the SSE Women's FA Cup tomorrow.

The FA Women's Premier League Northern Division One side have faced teams from the tier above in all of their last three outings - and have emerged victorious each time.

After knocking out third-tier Derby County in the previous round of this competition, Brighouse will pose a significant threat to the top-flight Black Cats, who have lost five of their eight league games this season while Town have won eight of their nine.

Guiseley Vixens face a similarly huge fixture this weekend, albeit for all the wrong reasons. While Brighouse hunt for the headlines, the Vixens take on West Bromwich Albion in a crucial relegation clash.

With just three points to their name - but three games in hand over tomorrow's opponents - Guiseley are bottom of the Northern Division without a win this season, while Albion have just 11 points from 14 outings.

A win would lift them off the foot of the table this weekend and see them exact revenge on the Baggies, who beat them 3-1 before Christmas.

Leeds United, meanwhile, ended a run of six league defeats as Bridie Hannon's strike gave them a 1-0 win at Chorley last weekend. They will look to build on that against an inconsistent Crewe tomorrow, who have four wins and four losses from their last eight games.

In the FAWPL Reserve Northern Division, Bradford City could move into third if they can beat second-placed Middlesbrough and results elsewhere go their way, while the same applies to Guiseley if they can beat leaders Blackburn.

In the North East Regional Women's League, Farsley Celtic will play their first league game since Bonfire Night as they host Castleford White Rose. They'll be confident of coming back with a bang too against a side with just one win to their name this term - that coming back in October against Wakefield.

Farsley's reserves have League Cup action to look forward to in a weekend where the West Riding County Women's League takes a back-seat. In their first game since November, the First Division high-fliers take on Premier Division Brighouse Athletic, hoping to upset the odds and extend their six-game unbeaten run.

Bradford Park Avenue take on a Ripon City side two divisions below them, and will have match sharpness on their side after beating Brighouse 2-1 two weeks ago. Ripon haven't played since early December.

The Third Division's top two both have tough ties, Tyersal and Thackley facing Premier pacesetters Tingley and Second Division leaders Lower Hopton respectively - both of whom have 100 per cent records in the league.

In the league's Shield competition, Farsley and Ossett Town's development sides clash, with the former having defeated the latter twice already this season.
