THERE should be no excuses for City with the Rotherham pitch tonight.

After another awful playing surface at Bristol Rovers at the weekend, the conditions at the New York Stadium will make a welcome treat.

The Millers are playing their second home game in four days but the pitch is holding up very well at this stage of the season.

Bantams boss Stuart McCall said: "It is supposed to be in really good condition, which will help. We just need to have a way of playing that can make the most of that.

"You saw on Saturday that there wasn't a lot of football at times. It was about getting it forward and winning the second balls.

"You need focal points and it was good to have Charlie (Wyke) back. You could see the two lads Bristol Rovers had up front.

"If pitches are like that, you have to go that way in games. We did that a lot during the second part of last season."

Rotherham are unbeaten since December 2 after Joe Mattocks headed a last-gasp winner against Portsmouth.

The defender said: "Bradford are a different type of team. They are not just going to sit there."
