REVENGE is on the cards tomorrow as Bradford City Women visit a Derby County side who have already beaten them twice this season.

Their last clash saw the Bantams lose in particularly disappointing fashion – surrendering a two-goal lead before losing in extra time in the FA Women’s Premier League Cup.

But City head to the Midlands looking for a fourth successive win on Sunday, with confidence high as they pursue payback.

“The mood in the camp is very positive at the moment,” said player-manager Charlotte Stuart.

“Everyone is happy with the way we are playing and things have started to click into place.

“There is certainly a bit of revenge in the air ahead of the game. To lose how we did last time is something we haven’t forgotten.

“This week, it’s important that we play our game and don’t drop our standards.”

Bradford’s standards have been very high as of late, with three wins from their last three with 13 goals for and none conceded.

Those results have ensured progress to the quarter-finals of the West Riding County Cup and a place in the SSE Women’s FA Cup Third Round, but now they switch their focus back to league matters.

Just five points separate these two in the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division, with both having produced indifferent seasons so far.

The festive period won’t help either team, with players’ availability fluctuating, but Stuart has confidence in her squad.

“We are missing a couple of players this week,” she admitted.

“But some recent signings mean we have depth and strength in our squad now.”

One of those mid-season arrivals, Hannah Campbell, has scored two goals in two games since returning, while winger Arianne Parnham has already opened her account for the club since joining from Leeds.

Both will be looking to continue that scoring form tomorrow, with kick-off 2pm at Mickleover Sports.
