CAMPION marched through to the second round of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Cup with an emphatic victory over Division One counterparts Worsbrough Bridge Athletic last night.
It was a second 6-0 win over the Barnsley-based side at the sportsbulk.co.uk Stadium this term after the Black and Reds beat Worsbrough in the league just last month.
Joel Hughes bagged a brace, while Luke Robinson, Jason Carney, Lee Bradshaw and Leon Hurles-Brook were also on target.
Campion official Andy Shepard said: “We’ve got another cup tie next Wednesday that I imagine will be a lot harder. We host Farsley Celtic in the West Riding County Cup.”
The Celts are the holders after last season’s victory over Tadcaster Albion.
Liversedge were due to make the journey to Staveley Miners' Welfare in the league's Premier Division last night but the fixture was postponed as the Trojans’ pitch was waterlogged.
