FARSLEY Celtic have an opportunity to consolidate their current placing in the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off places as they host Mickleover Sports.

Adam Lakeland’s men will be even more determined after two disappointing results.

The Celts were held to a draw in the league at Lancaster City last Saturday after a man of the match display by the Dolly Blues’ keeper Josh Powell.

That was followed by a League Cup exit at First Division North newcomers South Shields, on penalties, on Tuesday night.

Farsley host Shields in the FA Trophy next Saturday but their main focus is the league and Lakeland will have his squad well prepared for tomorrow’s game.

Farsley are just three points off top spot, in fact all three of the clubs currently above them are on the same points, separated only by goal difference only.

Brighouse Town will have to do something no other club has done in Division One North this season – win at Hyde United.

Vill Powell’s Town will be low after suffering a 4-1 defeat in the League Cup against Premier Division Marine in midweek.

They are sixth from bottom and only two points above the drop zone.

Hyde, who this week landed an FA Cup first round home tie against MK Dons, are unbeaten in the league but are only in seventh place due to the fact they have only played nine league games.
