BRADFORD Park Avenue will visit National League North leaders Harrogate Town in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup, today's draw confirmed.

It will be the first of two meetings in as many weeks for the local rivals, who clash in the league in mid-October.

Avenue put their name in the hat with a 3-0 weekend win over Southport, who defeated them in the league just last month.

They will visit a domestic rival in the cup again after Town comfortably overcame lower-league Penistone Church 3-0.

The hosts will be without free-scoring former Avenue defender and skipper Simon Ainge for the fixture as he is set to be out until early November with a groin problem.

Ainge has scored 31 goals this calendar year since swapping roles to striker but underwent surgery early this month, which will rule him out of a reunion with some familiar faces.

Town have not struggled for goals in his absence though, hitting four at Southport and five at Telford United before a third win in a row in the cup at the weekend.

Avenue, meanwhile, are unbeaten in eighth place – a great response to three defeats in succession suffered during August.

A 2-1 win over Boston United lifted them into the top half last weekend prior to Saturday's comfortable cup victory.

The Harrogate v Avenue tie is scheduled to be played on Saturday, September 30.
