CALLUM Geldart, praised for his bowling by cricket chairman John Carruthers late last week, reminded people of his batting capabilities in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Premier Division.

He hit a stunning 176 as Hanging Heaton defeated Farsley by 163 runs and replaced them at the top of the table.

The talented left hander struck five sixes and 22 fours as he powered his side to 311-5, Richard Foster (54) sharing a third-wicket stand of 125 with Geldart as the Farsley bowlers were made to toil.

The Rams then faltered against the left-arm spin of Muhammad Rameez (6-47) as they were bowled out for 148 to bring to an end their six-match winning league run, with Dan Hodgson (34) their top scorer.

Hanging Heaton now have 259 points and are ten ahead of Farsley with five games to play.
