DENHOLME and Barrowford will meet in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League's Wynn Cup final at Bradley on Sunday, August 6 (1.00).

Wilsden were the visitors to Denholme, whose run machine didn’t really get going for the second day running and they could only post a gettable 155, of which Richard Taylor made 57 as Sam Mitchell (5-22) and Rafaquat Mehmood (3-42) impressed with the ball.

In reply, the in-form Raza Ali (44) top-scored as Cameron Foster took 4-23 to have the Windy Grove all out for 119.

Barrowford made the long trip to Haworth Road and won by 18 runs in a high-scoring game. Going first, the Bull Holme side's Ashir Imdad scored a magnificent 101 from 70 balls, which contained 13 fours and four sixes, to go with Aziz Iqbal’s 32, which set a target of 212.

Ijaz Khan (5-33) and Mansha Khan (4-33) were the pick of the bowlers for Meths.

Chris Griggs (45) and Will Burgess (44) put on 89 for the second wicket, which kept the Baildon Bottom side on target for an unlikely win.

However, the bowling, led by Mohammed Zulfiqar (3-59), tightened up and wickets fell regularly to put the visitors into the final.

This Sunday, the semi-finals and final of the JMS-backed Cowling Cup Twenty20 take place at Denholme.

The first semi-final, at 10am, is between sees Second Division leaders Haworth Road II and Cononley II, while the second semi-final at 1pm pits Bradford & Bingley III against Embsay II.

The final is scheduled to start at 4pm.
