MAKE TIME may have not lived up to connections' Classic aspirations but he can finally get his season on the right track by winning the Robert Dyas Handicap at Sandown's evening meeting.

Trainer David Menuisier had high hopes for the Makfi colt after two sterling juvenile runs, finishing second on his debut to Frontispiece before running out a five-length winner of a soft-ground Salisbury maiden.

Five winners have emerged from those behind him that day – including Parfait, who finished fourth in the Jersey Stakes and won the Silver Bunbury Cup last weekend.

Menuisier felt Make Time merited a crack at Pattern company on his return on that basis and took the brave step of pitching him into the Greenham at Newbury back in April.

Make Time ended up well beaten by Barney Roy and while it would be easy to assume the fast ground was against him there, the fact he had previously run well on quick conditions certainly tempers that idea. The winner is also pretty special.

Make Time has been off the track since that run, which suggest perhaps all was not well, so it could be worth giving him another go, with an initial mark of 91 giving connections a little something to work with in the future. Jim Crowley rides today's nap selection.

HARBA shed her maiden tag at the fourth attempt and can kick on again in the Watch Racing UK On Youview Now Handicap.

Two runs last year yielded little joy but the daughter of Frankel has shown much more this term, finishing third on her return before opening her account at Beverley last month.

While she only triumphed by a neck on the Westwood, Harba is clearly improving with each outing and can continue on an upward curve as Pat Cosgrave takes the reins.

GOLDEN GUEST can make a quick return pay dividends in the Aeropak Handicap at Yarmouth this evening.

George Margarson's charge struck at Brighton just over two weeks ago, overcoming a relatively wide position on the track to win by a neck in what was a bunch finish.

Jockey Jane Elliott was seen to good effect that day and her 5lb claim should once again be a valuable asset as Golden Guest races off a 3lb higher perch this time.

PRETTY PASSE made a fair start to her career when second at Doncaster earlier this month and she can put the experience to good use in the 4Head Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

A high-sister to eight winners, Pretty Passe got going all too late on Town Moor, eventually finishing half a length behind a better-fancied William Haggas stablemate.

She sticks at seven furlongs but should be much more streetwise for this assignment under Ryan Moore.

Hayley Turner is an eye-catching booking aboard HART STOPPER in the opening Silk Series Lady Riders' Handicap.

The former Group One-winning rider again brings a temporary halt to her retirement as she teams up with Michael Bell's recent Haydock hero here.

The three-year-old carried his head a little awkwardly but battled away well enough and can defy his subsequent rise.

FITZWILLY has been the subject of some promising reports in recent days and can finally get his head in front again in the Racing Welfare Handicap at Lingfield.

The seven-year-old has not won since September 2015 but he is on his lowest mark in three years and could be ready to strike again with Silvestre De Sousa on board.
