ASID Ali produced a stunning all-round performance as Liversedge inflicted a first All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League defeat of the season on Championship Two leaders Hartshead Moor.

Ali hit an unbeaten 151, an innings containing two sixes and 21 fours, as he dominated the Liversedge total of 204-8. Iain Wardlaw was the most-successful bowler but his three wickets cost him 81 runs.

Mohammad Khan was again in good form for Hartshead Moor with 98 but his team were bowled out for 186 as Ali crowned his performance by taking 5-47, with Steve Lane (3-39) providing support.

Second-placed Hunslet Nelson won again as they bowled out Altofts for 89 on their way to a six-wicket win. Asim Iqbal (4-3) and Rakesh Seecharan (4-39) were in good form for Nelson as the mid-table visitors' last six batsmen all registered nought.

Bottom side Brighouse produced one of the surprises of the day as they defeated Buttershaw St Paul's by 34 runs to claim a first win of the season.

The prospects for a Brighouse win looked slim when they were bowled out for 117 as the experienced duo of Tosh Baker (5-25) and Ben Platt (3-21) posed problems, Adil Mahmood (39) and Sohail Hussain (36) top-scoring.

Yet Saints had no answer to the impressive bowling of Asad Mahmood (7-25) as they were dismissed for 83, with only Gary Wainwright (37) challenging the grip of the bowlers.

Nick Busby (5-33) and Jonathan Thurwell (4-33) impressed as Carlton bowled out third-placed Northowram Fields for 98. Opener Chris Wynd then scored 46 as Carlton eased to a seven-wicket success.

Idle continued their revival with en easy eight-wicket win over Hopton Mills, with Salman Khan (5-23) holding the key to their success as Mills were bowled out for just 70.

Half the Mills runs came from Zaaid Sajwal and Idle had no trouble knocking off the target as opener Naseem Aslam scored an unbeaten 41.

Nathan Storton made 58 and Andrew Wear 41 as Keighley posted 213 to set up their 82-run win over lowly Spen Victoria.

Young spinner Alex Leadbeater took 4-68 for Spen, who were bowled out for 131. Mark Loker top-scored with 40 while Owen Narey (3-31) was the pick of the Keighley bowlers.

Conference leaders East Ardsley strengthened their title credentials with an emphatic nine-wicket win over basement side Rodley which secured them a 20-point haul.

Rodley were bowled out for just 88 as Ashley Pearson took 3-11 and David Battye 3-20. East Ardsley were then guided to victory by overseas player Keron Beckles (40no).

Second-placed Wakefield St Michael's produced a fine performance to record a seven-wicket win over Azaad. Openers Joe Finnigan (88) and Alex Leyshon (61) shared 163 for the first wicket as Saints chased down Azaad's 220.

Finnigan had earlier taken 4-54 as Azaad were dismissed for 220. He was backed up by Hugh Birchall (3-76), while Hanif Mahboob (45), Imran Mahboob (43) and Zaeem Mahboob (41) were the main contributors for Azaad.

Lee Russell impressed with 6-39 as Great Preston bowled out Heckmondwike & Carlinghow for 188 to complete a 59-run win. Michael Wade (46) and Stuart Ruddick (42) had top-scored in Great Preston's 177, while the pick of the Heckmondwike bowlers was Khurram Shehzad with 5-52.

Opener Paul Sauer made a determined 96 for Crossbank Methodists but it was not enough to save them from a four-wicket defeat by Windhill & Daisy Hill.

Sauer dominated his side's score of 179, Ryan Holdsworth taking 5-47, but it was veteran Maz Bhatti who steered his side home with an unbeaten 85.

Adwalton bowled out Gildersome for 96 as they secured a seven-wicket verdict. Dean Jackson (3-24) and Andrew Stolzenberg (3-26) took the bowling honours, while Matt Donohoe made 48 in the successful run chase.

Sandal openers Danny Riley (69) and Kieran Shuttleworth (52) shared a stand of 122 which helped their side to 224-9 as they defeated East Leeds by 25 runs.

James Watling took 4-40 for East Leeds, who made 199 in reply. James Van der Merwe scored 45 and John Gomersall 48 as Amjid Saqiq took 4-49.
