Stuart McCall is poised to unveil his latest signing in time for the squad's return to pre-season training tomorrow.
Positive talks yesterday sealed the deal, which is expected to be soon followed by others as the market picks up.
City have so far brought in left back Adam Chicksen and striker Paul Taylor.
