TONG Park Esholt are set to move back to their ground at Esholt tomorrow after they were forced to abandon it following the floods of Christmas 2015.

Despite the turmoil following the pitch being under three feet of water when the River Aire burst its banks, the club still managed to clinch promotion to Division Two last season when playing at Low Springs, and become the first side from the third flight to reach the Waddilove Cup final.

Having started the season with two wins, Park stumbled a little but have re-found their form in recent matches, and last week’s win over Kirkstall took them up to fourth place and within striking distance of the promotion pack.

Their strength is in their bowling, with veteran Mick Scott, Muhammed Khan and Mahir Ali, last season’s leading wicket-taker in the Aire Wharfe.

With 23 victims so far, Ali looks set to challenge for that title again, and on top of that he has weighed in with 176 runs, ten more than in the whole of last season.

Tomorrow they entertain Calverley, who have faltered after a solid start and will be looking to spoil the homecoming party.

After being ripped out for 73 by Follifoot last week, second-placed Ben Rhydding will be keen to make amends at the expense of struggling Hall Park.

Steeton travel to Follifoot, needing a victory to keep them close to the leading group, while at the other end of the table, Thackley entertain Kirkstall, Addingham travel to leaders Adel and Skipton are at Leeds Modernians, who have been inconsistent in recent weeks.

A massive effort by James Davies gave Otley victory over Ilkley last week and lifted them to third in Division One.

They now face Rawdon knowing that nothing less than maximum points will do if they want to keep Beckwithshaw in sight because the leaders, already 23 points ahead of them, seem unlikely to slip up against a Colton side struggling to adapt to the top flight.

Second-placed Burley travel to Guiseley for a fixture that has produced many entertaining clashes, and fourth-placed Pool will seek to make it three wins in a row at Bilton.

Ilkley entertain North Leeds, who will still be enjoying the elation of registering their first win, while, having slipped to the bottom of the heap, Horsforth need to find some form against a Collingham side who have edged away from the bottom with two wins in their last three starts.

There is a mouth-watering match in Division Three where leaders Olicanian, smarting from suffering their second defeat against St Chads last week, travel to a buoyant Bardsey team whose form is unrecognisable from the last few seasons.

There should be plenty of entertainment too at Green Lane, where the fourth-placed club entertain second-placed Saltaire.

Harden will start as favourites against Menston, while Bolton Villas have the chance to pull away from the bottom two against Alwoodley, the only side currently below them.
