A SECOND-wicket stand of 134 between Craig Field (81) and Ahsan Butt (59) helped Hartshead Moor make it eight Championship Two wins out of eight in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League.

Field hit 81 and Butt 59 at Altofts as they guided runaway leaders Moor towards a seven-wicket victory, passing the home side's 184-8 with seven balls to spare.

The dependable Farroukh Alam had made 49 and Arkam Asif 41 for Altofts as left-arm spinner Mohammad Khan picked up 4-22.

The win earned 19 points and Moor are now 39 ahead of second-placed Northowram Fields, who were made to struggle for their slender one-wicket victory over lowly Idle.

There was no hint of the difficulties that lay ahead when Jason Smith (5-26) and Chris Thompson (4-30) bowled out Idle for 110, with Naseem Aslam (31) and Deron Greaves (30) providing the bulk of the runs.

Fields were indebted to Ashley Richardson (33) for steering them to their target as West Indian Greaves took 5-26.

Experienced former East Bierley, Pudsey Congs and Wrenthorpe batsman Paul Carrol made an unbeaten 68 to guide Buttershaw St Paul's to a three-wicket win over Carlton.

Jamie Robson (36) and Gary Wainwright (35) gave support as Nick Busby picked up 3-59 for Carlton, after Amin Hussain's 68 had earlier helped Carlton to 181-8.

Asif Ali took 5-38 and top-scored with 31 but could not save Liversedge from a 66-run defeat against Hopton Mills.

Jordan Graven scored 43 and Chris Scott added 31 as Hopton Mills made 161 before bowling out Liversedge for 95, with Umar Abbas (5-39) and Michael Carroll (4-27) doing the damage.

The unluckiest cricketer of the day was undoubtedly Sohail Hussain. He took 5-39 for Brighouse as Spen Victoria were dismissed for 200 and was 98 not out when rain forced play to be abandoned.

Hussain's innings, which contained 16 fours, saw his side finish on 175-4. Danny Cross had top-scored for Spen with 66, his highest score for them, while opener Evan Edwards made 35.

The match between Keighley and Hunslet Nelson was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
