DANE Chisholm has been told to throw off the shackles as the Bulls go in search of a Summer Bash shock against Hull KR tomorrow evening.

This week's official return of the Aussie half back has lifted everyone connected with the club ahead of the clash with the Kingstone Press Championship leaders in Blackpool.

The 26-year-old talisman was yesterday confirmed in Bradford's 19-man squad for the televised encounter.

And interim head coach Leigh Beattie insists that the former Melbourne Storm player will be given a licence to thrill against the Robins.

"We all know what Dane can bring," Beattie said. "He's enthusiastic and he's got that flair, which means he can score from practically anywhere.

"If you're under the pump he can pull something out of the bag.

"He'll be allowed to play his game. That's pretty much what he's there for. If you restrict him then you're just taking that talent away from him.

"Dane has brought his energy to training already this week, and provides that extra experience as well.

"We've had those points in some games when heads have gone down and we've lacked a bit of confidence after we've gone behind. He might just pick us up, do something special, bring some magic to it, and get us back on track."

Beattie is particularly excited to see Chisholm link up with Leeds loanee Jordan Lilley in the halves tomorrow.

"Dane can help bring some consistency to the half back role, which is massive for us," he added. "Hopefully, we can keep those two pretty steady now.

"It adds that little more competition which we've lacked in certain areas when people have had to play out of position.

"Keyesy (Joe Keyes) might be coming off the bench in a support role. We've looked at him at nine and as a bit of a utility back he might feature there. We'll see with that one."
