DANE Chisholm can't wait to make his second Bulls 'debut' on Saturday – and help brighten up the Summer Bash for Bradford's fans.

The popular half-back's return was rubber-stamped yesterday after a frustrating six-week wrangle between the Bulls and former club Sheffield, who insisted they still held his registration.

However, the Bulls say an "amicable settlement" has now been reached which allows Chisholm to rejoin them with immediate effect – and make his comeback in the weekend's Blackpool encounter against Hull KR.

After kicking his heels on the sidelines since mid-April, the mercurial Aussie is delighted to have his future sorted so he can get back out on the pitch.

"It's a big relief," he said. "I can get my full-time training back in and it's great to be back around all the boys who I was already good mates with.

"It's also good to be back under Tooves (head coach in waiting Geoff Toovey) who I worked under back in my Manley days.

"I can get my lifestyle back into full-time training and do my best to help the boys get above that zero points mark and then up from there.

"I obviously played here last year and did the pre-season here, so I've just come back into the same group of mates – it was pretty easy to return.

"The last month has been tough but I'm just glad it's done and now I'm putting all that behind me.

"It's a great game to come back for as well. It would have been good to have got a couple under my belt before then but I can only get out there and try my best to make an impact."

Chisholm, who made 11 appearances for the Bulls last season, departed in January following Championship Shield success, administration and ultimately liquidation.

The 26-year-old was quick to thank the Bradford fans for their continued support since then and outlined what he will add to a side who have lost their last five Kingstone Press Championship matches.

"Even when I was at Sheffield I had a lot of good support from the Bradford fans – they've been awesome since I've been here," he said. "Even though it was such a short time, they really made me feel at home.

"I'm hoping I can bring a bit of leadership. We do have a young team but they're all buzzing and there is a lot of talent in this group.

"I'm aiming to help out Jordan Lilley in there. He's been doing a good job and Keyesy (Joe Keyes) is a steady half-back as well, so hopefully I can add that bit of spark. That's what I want to bring.

"It's good to have a few voices that can settle teams. Lilley is definitely a player who can do that – but I'm here to take a bit of weight off his shoulders and I know he is going to do the same for me at the weekend because it's going to be a really tough ask."
