OLD foes Odsal Sedbergh and Wibsey Warriors lock horns on Saturday in the Jack Senior Memorial Bradford Cup final at Odsal Stadium (3.30pm).

Both sides, who now operate in the Yorkshire Men's League summer competitions, are within close proximity of each other and have met in the Bradford Cup on four occasions, with Sedge having success in only one of the encounters.

Sedge lifted the trophy seven years ago with an extra-time victory over Clayton, and coach Paul Bottomley is one of a number of players still at the club, alongside Jonny Ward and Rob Priestley, who were try-scorers that day.

The big-game experience is sure to benefit their cause, but they have injury concerns regarding Nick Chapman, Sam Hall and Josh Briggs.

Wibsey Warriors' young guns are unlikely to be fazed by the Odsal experience.

They have speed and ability, plus the benefit of wily coach Alan Redmonds, who is one of the best tactically on the local scene.

He will have his former Bradford South team-mate Jason Woolham alongside him in the dug-out to proffer advice, while scrum half Ryan Goldsborough will direct operations on the field.

Prop Ross Simpson, who is a vital clog in the Warriors' pack, will have a fitness test on a leg injury prior to kick off.

Birkenshaw Bluedogs and Queensbury play the curtain raiser - the Hudson Foster Supplementary Cup final (1.30pm) at Odsal.

Birky gave as good as they got in the Pennine League Division Three campaign under new head coach Lee Wilkins, and have a proven match-winner in hooker Matty Honysett.

Queensbury looked to be en route to taking the Division Four title for most of the season until the mighty Siddal overtook them before the finishing post.

They have long-serving prop Andy Senior on parade, who is still one of the best in the business, and young centre Jack McMillan is a recognised try-poacher given half a chance.

Ethan Edgerton Sharp will also have an impact with his accurate goal-kicking.
