ROSS Peltier is desperate to beef up the Bulls' survival bid again.

Bradford were left with a chronic shortage of forwards over the Easter period. It made for painful viewing for the injured Peltier, who is set to have the pins removed from his broken right hand today.

He admits Saturday's daunting trip to Toulouse will be too early for his comeback but has his sights on the round-13 clash with seventh-placed Sheffield.

"I'm not far off now – I've been joining in training one-handed – and can't wait to be back," said Peltier.

"Toulouse is too soon for me but maybe I might be all right for the week after. There's a real need for forwards. I'm just dying to put my hand up to lead us from the front.

"The young lads had a hard time over Easter and there was me on the sidelines watching Keenen Tomlinson and that playing in the front row. It's upsetting and I just want to go out there and do something for the club."

With Daniel Murray and Colton Roche also absent, the inexperience of the Bulls down the middle was ruthlessly exposed at Featherstone last week. The youngsters being pressed into action by interim coach Leigh Beattie are having to learn the hard way.

Peltier said: "They are all happy to be playing but when you're on the end of big defeats up against forwards like Darrell Griffin and Richard Moore, it's a tough learning curve.

"You have to learn a lot faster than they should have done. But that's the situation we are in.

"There have been a few bruised bodies and upset people – but we have to dust ourselves off. Hopefully I'll be back soon, Muzza too, and we'll be all right."
