ETHAN Ryan wants to bring through the next batch of talent from the Bulls production line.

Ryan has been at the forefront of the young blood that Leigh Beattie has employed during the first half of the Championship season.

But the winger has already got his eye on potential Bradford players of the future.

Ryan and Joe Keyes have teamed up to coach the scholars in the under-16s – a role they are both throwing themselves into.

"I came through the under-16s and under-19s so I know the process they are going through," said Ryan.

"It's massively important for the club to develop the youth and bring them through as they have done in past years.

"You look at some of the players who have come through and where they have gone to – the NRL and Super League. To continue that conveyor belt is good."

As with James Clare last season, Ryan reckons it encourages his teenage audience even more to be taught by current players – even more so those who are products of the system.

"Being a player going down to coach helps because they know it's coming from someone who's been there and is doing it right now," he said.

"I'm sure it helps for them to get the information from us because they can see us playing.

"Bradford have always been good at the youth level. Look at some of the players they have developed and that's why.

"It's really important for that to carry on. Obviously the fans love the home-grown players and they want to see them come through.

"We've got Ross Oakes, James Bentley, Liam Kirk, Pickers (Brandon Pickersgill), Wilko (Brandan Wilkinson); all those players doing well. Even myself, it's only my second year."
