WINGER Omari Caro is being touted for a new role at second row after impressing on his Bulls comeback.

The Jamaican international played out of position against Dewsbury Rams amid an injury crisis that ruled out several players including James Mendeika, James Bentley and Ross Peltier.

Caro, who scored 18 tries in as many appearances last season, had been out since damaging ankle ligaments in pre-season but celebrated his return to Bradford action with yet another try.

Acting coach Leigh Beattie must now decide whether to stick with Caro at second row in this weekend's Championship game at Oldham.

The 26-year-old former London Broncos player is keen to be involved and only left the field as a "precautionary measure" towards the end of the Dewsbury game.

Although he prefers to play on the wing, his performance has given the Bulls a welcome selection dilemma – with team-mates Jordan Lilley and Jon Magrin both in agreement that Caro has the quality to adopt to the new role.

Lilley said: "I thought Omari coming back for us was really good on Sunday. He played out of position in the second row but I think he can play there. In fact, he was really good there."

Magrin added: "When you are that big and quick, you can play anywhere on the pitch. He's going to be there all season now because he played so well."

The Bulls, who were docked 12 points by the Rugby Football League before the start of the season, are now on minus four – seven points behind ninth-placed Oldham.
