FARSLEY Celtic will reclaim pole position in Division One North of the Evo-Stik League with a win at Mossley – although it could only be temporary.

The Celts were sitting pretty at the summit a fortnight back, leading the pack on goal difference with two games in hand.

Yet following a 2-0 defeat at Bamber Bridge on Saturday, they go into tonight's game three points behind Lancaster City and having played the same number of fixtures.

A win for Farsley would lift them back to the summit because of their superior goal difference, with long-term title rivals Lancaster not in action this midweek.

Mossley are a lowly 18th and have a worse home record than away, so it is a chance for the Celts to put pressure back on the new leaders.

There is a tasty clash in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League as fourth-placed THACKLEY travel to play Handsworth Parramore, who are fifth. Four points separate the Premier Division rivals but the Dennyboys have played a game more.

SILSDEN will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Hallmark Security League to three games as they host Stockport Town.

The Cobbydalers have taken four points from their last two fixtures and a win would lift them to within two points of 11th-placed Stockport – and Danny Forrest's men would still have two games in hand.
