PAST and present Bulls staff are still fighting for their December wages, Stuart Duffy has revealed.

As the new club build afresh, the legacy from Odsal’s financial nightmare continues to have an effect.

Duffy said: “Obviously that’s all in the hands of the legal people now. That is still going on.

“One of my roles is player-welfare manager so the players are asking me for help filling forms in.

“Nobody has had any money yet. Some people will be able to claim redundancy, others won’t.

“But the ones who can’t claim it, when they are told, will get a letter in to claim a month in lieu of notice. That will probably be the December wage.

“There is talk that you could sue for unfair dismissal but it’s just going on and on. Everyone just wants to put it behind them.”

But the Bulls have been grateful for the support of other clubs as they “beg, steal and borrow” their way to survival. Salford prop Danny Murphy is the latest temporary addition.

Duffy added: “We’ve had some big offers of help from people.

“Castleford have loaned us Kevin Larroyer and the Leeds four are well documented. Gary Hetherington has been fantastic.

“It’s a case of beg, steal and borrow and see what we can get ourselves.

“I know there are people out there who probably resent the fact we’ve had help from other clubs.

“But we are where we are. Obviously the game wants a Bradford club and people are doing their best to make sure that happens.

“We’ve got some good players in and hopefully they are here to make the difference. You saw Scott Moore and Kevin Larroyer did that at Swinton.”
