FOOTBALL: Thornton United have the chance to steal a march on their Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division rivals tomorrow.
They are one of the few teams in action due to the blanket postponement of weekend games on Bradford council-owned grass pitches.
Third-placed Thornton will cut the gap between them and second-placed Oakenshaw to two points if they beat Ventus United.
Their match goes ahead as they play on a 3G surface, while Thornton Thirds' home game with AFC Salthorn Victoria is also on.
