BRADFORD Bulls' star Colton Roche hopes the arrival of Scott Moore and Kevin Larroyer will help kick-start the club's season.

Both Moore and Larroyer are standing by to make debuts tomorrow afternoon when the Bulls visit Swinton Lions in the third round of fixtures in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Back-to-back defeats against Rochdale Hornets and Hull KR have already served to highlight the size of the task facing the Bulls this season, with Roche admitting that the team is a 'work in progress.'

But former England hooker Moore joined the Bulls on a month's trial this week and French international back rower Larroyer signed on a season-long loan from Castleford Tigers.

Roche, who joined the Bulls from Featherstone Rovers prior to the start of the season, said: "Obviously Scott and Kev have played a lot of Super League games between them. Scott has been in Australia and played at the very highest level.

"They are both very good players and they will add a lot of experience – which is definitely what we have been lacking over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, they can jump in and lead the pack around the field a little bit."

At 23, Roche is still relatively young by rugby league standards – but the average age of the current Bulls side is only 21 due to the wholesale departure of senior players that followed the club's latest financial collapse.

"I don't want to say that we have been struggling, or anything like that, because now it is looking pretty positive after all the adversity that we have gone through," said Roche.

"It's going to a be tough year but the Championship is a really tough league regardless of anything that has happened.

"But when you get a group of young lads who have gone through adversity – who have stayed here and stayed together – you are going to get commitment and fire in their bellies. I think it's just about fine-tuning that now.

"We are still a big work in progress really," he stressed. "We have got a few weeks until we can really get on our feet when, hopefully, we should start firing on all cylinders."
