STUART McCall admitted City’s Checkatrade Trophy third-round draw could have been worse.
The Bantams have been handed an away trip in the last 16 – although they will have to wait to discover their opponents.
Cheltenham and Leicester under-21s have still play their second-round game, which will not take place until January 10.
McCall said: “Naturally you always want a home tie. I don’t know why it’s not regionalised but there could have been worse travelling.
“The likes of Southampton, Brighton, Yeovil and Swansea are still in there.
“We’ll get the game watched. Preference-wise, I’d rather play the nearest side which is Leicester.
“But having said that, with it being an under-21 side you probably can’t do as much homework on them as you would like. We found that out when we played Stoke.”
