PUDSEY'S Chris Mordue won the latest Spen Victoria CB&AC Winter Sweep, defeating Mark Regan (Brighouse Sports) 21-18 in the final.

Mordue edged through his first-round match against Scott Tattersley (Spen Victoria) 21-20 before comfortable wins over Nigel Marshall (Brighouse Sports) 21-10 and Mally Fowler (Ladyhill) 21-8 put him into the semi-finals against Stuart King, which he won 21-16.

Regan progressed with victories over fellow Brighouse bowlers Tony Riley 21-11, Nigel Briggs 21-18 and Andrea Buckley 21-20.

The final was tight throughout, with Mordue edging it as Regan found himself runner-up for the second successive week.
