BRIGHOUSE Town Reserves lost 3-0 for the second successive Lancashire League match – this time at Silsden Reserves.

Town assistant manager Barry Thomas said: "In the first half, we just couldn't get any rhythm and our overall shape was poor.

"We did improve in the second half but we never looked like scoring and we got caught twice on the break as we pushed to get on the scoresheet."

A very good Bradford RIASA had previously gone to the top of the table with a 3-0 victory at Brighouse.

Following a defensive error, RIASA took the lead in the first minute with a penalty and they went on to dominate the next 20 minutes.

Again Town conceded two second-half goals when pushing forward and Thomas said: "We didn't deserve to lose 3-0 but the main difference between the sides was that RIASA were much more clinical in front of goal."

Liversedge Reserves struggled to beat AFC Emley Reserves, who are marooned at the foot of the table.

Warren Redford (2) and Matthias Britton were on target for Sedge in their 3-2 win against a side who have yet to gain a point.

Thackley could not raise a team for their Northern Under-19 Alliance match against AFC Emley, while Bradford Park Avenue did not travel to Altofts because the latter club's pitch was frozen.
